Doing so is the best way to get a leg up on critical oral hygiene problems. However, getting your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist helps ensure your teeth are thoroughly cleaned, healthy, and protected.

But that's not all. Other reasons that students choose DAA is because we:

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. —

People living near or using Jensen Beach have reported finding at least three sharks dead onshore over the course of a week.

Pictures showing the dead sharks raised concerns on social media with many community members wondering what the cause could be.

WPBF 25 News caught up with Martin County Ocean Rescue to better understand what might be behind their deaths.

SLCSCANNER

Martin County Ocean Rescue Chief Ian Montgelas said they typically notice two patterns.

"Oftentimes fishermen will catch these sharks maybe a few days before and fight the shark to the shoreline and at some point, they'll release the shark and the shark will swim back into the ocean. But a few days later, the shark will end up washing up dead on the beach," Montgelas explained.

The other possibility he said is just a natural cause.

"A number of things. Typically, when we see large sharks in our area close to shore, a lot of times that does mean that it's close to the end of their life," Montgelas said. So this is kind of a pattern that we've seen."

SLCSCANNER

Montgelas said he can only confirm one case as they found a 12-foot tiger shark dead this week near Glasscock Beach.

"So the tiger shark was dead and it was kind of rolling in the shorebreak. We couldn't really do anything to bring it up onto the beach, it would have been too heavy to move," he said.

He said obviously there are a lot of sharks in the ocean, but they typically notice sharks that are roughly five feet swimming closer to shore.

"Then when we see the really big ones, sometimes we'll see them out in the ocean one day, and then a few days later, they're on the beach dead," he explained.

Montgelas told WPBF, that while he understands the concerns, he feels it's likely nothing to worry about.

"It's just a natural thing. It just so happened that maybe a couple of sharks wash up around the same time. It really shouldn't be anything to be concerned about," he added.

With windy conditions happening over the past few days, he said it's common to see more things wash up.

"The conditions were right for that kind of scenario where the wind was blowing on shore. So if anything were dead that could wash up on the beach, it would have been a good time for that to happen," Montgelas said.

Montgelas said spotting sharks along Jensen Beach isn't uncommon so it's not surprising that a few might wash up on shore occasionally.

"It's just a natural thing. We wouldn't want to keep the ocean closed just because there might be a shark out there, then the beaches would be closed forever. So when you come to visit the beach, you just have to understand that there are sharks out there and you just hope that it's not going to be your lucky day, right?" he said.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, many shark species are common in Florida's nearshore waters and bays. The FWC reports scientific data shows that many shark species migrate in and out of Florida's waters each year and migrating sharks will either move in an inshore-offshore manner or along latitudinal gradients.

In Florida, the FWC says sharks typically move inshore and north in the spring and summer, and offshore and south in the fall and winter months. They say shark activity is at its peak in Florida waters from April through October.

According to the FWC, humans are much more of a danger to sharks than vice versa as the world's fisheries kill an estimated 100 million sharks annually.

They report the general biology and life history of most shark species make them extremely vulnerable to overfishing, which is why federal and state regulations protect these valuable resources.

The FWC says data shows that shark populations are at 20%-30% of the level they were just 25 years ago.

Their lifespans vary with the FWC reporting some bull sharks and tiger sharks living longer than 30 years.

The Florida Museum of Natural History has a page dedicated to shark conservation and why protecting the species is so important.

The FWC has several pages on its website with detailed information on different shark species and guidelines on fishing for sharks.

Back-to-back SpaceX rocket launches this week: Where to watch in Sebastian, Vero Beach

...

Back-to-back rocket launches are potentially scheduled to lift off Tuesday. And depending on weather and visibility, there could be a show in the sky above the Treasure Coast.

Weather permitting, SpaceX will launch a payload of 21 Starlink internet satellites in the early morning on Tuesday and will launch Maxar Space Systems' fifth and sixth WorldView Legion imagery satellites Tuesday evening, Federal Aviation Administration operations plan advisories show.

Tuesday's launches were originally scheduled for Monday, but were postponed amid a National Weather Service dense fog advisory.

Rockets launch from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral, Florida, in Brevard County, which is an hour east of the Orlando theme parks. Depending on cloud cover, weather and visibility, people from Daytona Beach to Titusville to Melbourne Beach and Vero Beach might see a nice streak in the sky — given the proximity to NASA's Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Below are suggestions on where to watch the rocket launch from this area and other things to know. If there are changes to the launch schedule, this story will be updated.

For questions or comments, email FLORIDA TODAY Space Reporter Rick Neale at [email protected]. For more space news from the USA TODAY Network, visit floridatoday.com/space.

Where in Florida can you see a rocket launch? Are launches visible from the Treasure Coast?

Weather permitting and depending on cloud cover, yes, rocket launches − especially night launches − from neighboring Space Coast could be visible in the Treasure Coast area, particularly from Sebastian Inlet, Vero Beach or other parts of Indian River County.

When is the next SpaceX rocket launch in Florida? No earlier than Tuesday, February 4: SpaceX Starlink 12-3
