Studies have linked poor oral hygiene to serious problems like cancer, cardiovascular disease, bone loss, and strokes. If you're flossing and brushing at home twice a day, that's great. Doing so is the best way to get a leg up on critical oral hygiene problems. However, getting your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist helps ensure your teeth are thoroughly cleaned, healthy, and protected.

But that's not all. Other reasons that students choose DAAPB is because we:

HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — A wanted felon tried to outsmart deputies by swallowing an ounce of crack during a traffic stop, ending in hospitalization.

According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), wanted felon 58-year-old Matthew Raymond Rambo of Hobe Sound was pulled over on U.S. 1 for an active warrant.

When authorities placed him under arrest, instead of complying, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Rambo was exhibiting symptoms that he had ingested drugs.

"He was taken out of the car and pretty rapidly started mimicking or showing signs of some type of a cardiac event," Budensiek said. "He was sweating profusely. Things were not going right so they questioned him about what was going on.”

A search of Rambo's car reportedly uncovered 9.7 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a firearm.

Rambo was transported to the Hospital due to his symptoms and later admitted to deputies that he had swallowed an ounce of crack cocaine to destroy evidence, according to MCSO's Monday announcement. Sheriff Budensiek said that amount can be deadly.

"You can overdose and die on a gram cocaine if you don’t have the tolerance for it," Budensiek said. "So an ounce of cocaine is a lot of cocaine.”

After he was medically cleared, deputies say they booked Rambo for his outstanding warrant, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting without violence.
